Ranting rubbish (visas + studies)

My ESTA expires today. Application done in 2024 when I was going over to see che-che.

Will we ever go back to the US? I don’t know. But there are some NPs I’d love to go, that is if the idiot DTrump don’t cut down sacred NPs lands again just for his and his crony peeps.

Che-che’s visas. One of them, can’t remember which one, expires in 2028. Could be the student visa. She likes her current passport coz it has so many stamps and stickers inside. My passport has this page where the Japanese immigration will paste all my landing permits on the same page.

Studies
Anyway I’m just glad that she’s back in SIN. She was given two provisional Master degree offers - one in Business Management and one in Criminology. The Criminology degree sounds really interesting, makes me want to discuss with her Ted Bundy and other real investigations I read from Ann Rule’s books.
Both she didn’t want to take up. If she had stayed on longer she may not even want to come back to work eventually. If she stayed and continue studying in another uni - NYU - her initial choice after A’levels it means we can only see her in NY.
Then again she may not want to work there coz she hates the way the Americans works. Maybe we’re just so used to the efficiency here, the safety here. The time she was there not as a tourist opened up her eyes to so many things.

About her
I was surprised when she rejected Criminology. Her casual remarks once when we were holidaying in US. Looking out the car window as we were driving past rocks and huge landscape, “wah…if there’s a murder here conform cannot find the body. Can throw anywhere.” The Ann Rule in me added on “chop of the limbs and body parts and throw all over US sure cannot find.”

I know she always hated business, IT, engineering, sciences. I always thought she thrives in critical thinking stuffs. So I thought Criminology works for her. I named her Athena coz I believe she is destined for greatness. So great that she’s the only daughter who argues with me the most in the family. Haha! I always thought that one day she’ll be sitting in a court as a judge.
