This video needs to be shared

Wanted to do a second video collage of my Nakasendo hike as the first video I did I couldn’t decide which was the best or the highlights, my video turned out to be 20+ minutes long. Haha! But that was one impressive video editing as well. 

Racing against time as I couldn’t delete the photos and videos in my phone until I do the second collage. As you would have read my previous post that I’m desperately cleaning up space to make way for new ones. 

My solo holiday blog entries are still being edited 🤭. I think maybe it will be posted out a year late. This new video link will be posted in there when I’m done with editing. 

This second video is 6 minutes long will not bore you for sure, but I must say there were tons of nice shots I took in that hike and it was hard not to include the photos in. 

Decided too to pen in some of my thoughts. Ah nia is not that good in writing, I wrote my grandmother story and learnt there’s an AI poem generator : https://aipoemgenerator.io/ to help me. Wah….come out with the goodest england, I’m so impressed. I attached that in the video collage but it may be difficult to read. 

If only I can write that well. AI read my transcript and abacadebra

Next plan 

I miss this easy hike, I would want to go back and do it all over again. However this time I need to make sure I start in Nakatsugawa, stay in Magome longer (I couldn’t do so as I had to start my hike), hike faster and not take too many photos & videos (laughing at myself, when will I not take tons of photos and videos? When I was on solo it made it easier for me to take nicer looking photos n videos) and arrive in Tsumago early. Or maybe stay overnight in Tsumago. The whole place will be so quiet when the tourists leave (I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Shirakawa-go where the whole place was so quiet after 5pm). Hike to the shorter distance Nagiso. 

Hike another portion from Yabuhara to Narai. Narai is another place I want to stay overnight. That said, even before I plan the newer routes I must check carefully with regards to bear activity. Want to hike but I also want my life.

Somehow I’m so tempted to do a summary of my holiday collage especially the new places, should I? Means I still can’t delete some pics for 5th June. hmm….. 🤔

And here I am again desperately clearing photos which I haven’t got the time to do so.

Although I must admit this time round I’m not under tremendous pressure having to cope with itinerary planning, houseworks, clearing pics. I left this holiday to the man, 带我去卖我也不知道😂。

I notice a pattern, I’m always in urgency to delete whenever I am going on a trip. On normal days when I can find the time, I will delete but I do them slowly. I wouldn’t know when is the next time I can find the time to delete photos again. How about the albums with the photos I need for iMovie? Currently I have 2 albums where it’s ready for video editing when and IF I can find the time to do so. Most times the project is left in the app. 

Sigh……. I’m not joking when I say I need a time away from home in a hotel on an island perhaps with no distraction and I’ll probably finish up my iMovies. Bring my laptop and hard disk to transfer all my pics. I need wifi tho!

Desperately clearing photos in phone and came across these photos taken in Desert Hot Springs, CA. 

The day we arrived in hotel late coz we drove long distance + many many breaks in between to stretch out legs etc.. 

Hubby came back to the car after checking-in. “Guess what? They ran out of rooms. And guess what they gave us a suite now.” 

I laughed at us eating our packed dinner from Stater Bros. Macam like trying to act rich and post in Instagram, but behind doors 很可怜 must eat cheap cheap food 😂

Wanted to go again this year but …. I can only daydream. 

It’s all snow again in Murodo. It has more ❄️ white flurry months than ☀️ 🍂 months.

Only 5 days left to the closing season 🥲 

This year, on 27th October, Tateyama gets its first snow more than one week earlier than last year.

I want to go back TY again. I want to see the alps in its full majestic display. Cannot afford to fly to see Swiss alps so I fly to Japan 😂

This keeps popping up food. And I can really taste the food. I miss Joyfull. Can I just make a 7 day trip to Japan?  😂

Change more yen?

Usually when we hear “yen has dropped”, we will all start changing money. All except for lil’ one who will always exclaim “I HAVE NO MONEY!!!”

But I wonder why hubby changed JPY too. Didn’t he say no more Japan trips? 🤭

Can we go? Can we go for a short trip in Dec? 🤣

My balance in Revolut. Usually I noticed the exchange rate in Revolut is not as good as Youtrip, but because I chose to be different from the 3 of them I gotta accept it 😬

Not related to JPY, just checking on balance for KW. I’ve unknowingly been using my KW to make purchases while in SIN. I have no idea how it went to deducting from there. When I check back my statement from Feb - May, I’ve unknowingly used KW 456,999 (SGD 415.56 equivalent) 😱 我的天啊‼️ I was shocked when I check on the balance and I thought I had around 800K left and then decided to trace back the statement. Sigh…..

This value left now is approximately SGD 340 😢

最没有钱是美金 😂。eh? What’s the Uber and Visa provisioning service? I was in Japan then. 

** edited on 19th Nov (Wed). Noticed the rate is 119.++ so changed another SGD1000. Now I have ¥382,637 (approx SGD3191.19)

Compared to the rate I made prior to my June trip 🫤

I really miss those places I went in June. 

I really want to go back and do this route again. So tempted to go in September where the autumn foliage was so beautiful but … can only dream about it. Then thought maybe I should make a trip after lil’ one ends her internship but I didn’t know when she was going back to school for presentation. This place will close on 1st Dec for winter. When I was contemplating this it was in August and was thinking about bears 🐻 activity in September. In my logic the bears will be more active in autumn, they need to chiak ba ba to prepare to orh orh 💤 during winter. I wouldn’t want to risk my life if I solo hiked.

Moving kois

Saw this in my feed. This is so interesting. But I think it’s really dependent on the place, so far in one place we went they didn’t remove the koi during winter. 

There’s is something so calming looking at kois in the floodwaters.

I want to spend Christmas in Germany !!! I want to soak into that enchanting atmosphere.

想当年…… My first experience in Christmas market was in Frankfurt. It was a FRA-JFK flight. 

We went to Berlin (a few markets), Munich (2 different markets for che-che and me) and Nuremberg Christmas markets and Nuremberg’s blew my mind. It was really the bestest of the bestest. 

I think overall coz Nürnberg was the only city I haven’t been to (when I planned the itinerary), everything is so beautiful and the quietest of the lot even though we went only one Christmas market. Haha! I think they only have ONE in the small medieval old town 😀

Suddenly craved

for Moonlight cookies when we were having dinner at Sushiro.

Went upstairs to Donki to grab what I wanted and of course majority of other things (che-che’s snacks) that we weren’t there for 😂. 

Moonlight cookies - used to be available EX-NGO if I remember correctly. We would usually uplift for the return sector crew. 

I saw the grape jelly beans and had to get it. Che-che lamented that they don’t have mango ones - the one that she bought in her recent trip. Suddenly exclaimed “I want to go back Miyazaki again.” I also in my heart wants to go back Japan. But hor….. the world is so big there are many places countries I haven’t been to yet. 

Couldn’t find the milk I wanted. Managed to find it in NTUC, I took the last pack. Then will hv to try to finish it asap once I open it. 

Anyway talking about Japan, while waiting to be seated in Sushiro I made a count on the number of prefectures I’ve been to. 

Not a lot 😢 covered. Need to 頑張って
