Job well done!

Job Applied For : Elder sister
Applicant Name : Athena Ting
Applicant Age : 3+

I still can't believe my little sweetheart, has grown from a teeny weeny baby to what she is today. Progressively over the years, I've had my ups and downs raising a child.
In my eyes, she was still a baby. In my eyes, she had all the attention she's been getting from us - her parents; from my family members who all would finish work early to rush back home to be with her. So, will it be easy for her to do her job.

When she applied for the job early this year, I was worried and then kept finding excuses "I need to spend some two-some time with her otherwise cannot keep her company" etc...

But she's coping well, and even better than what I had expected. She didn't demand more attention from me at all or do naughty things to make me angry.
She loves her sister so much that she laughs at herself being kicked and punched by Aricia. She gets tickled at every little action Aricia does. She will say things like "mummy, mummy just now Aricia touch / push my hand you know?"
She helps out and even wants to carry and feed Aricia.

I have a feeling that Aricia will end up bullying the sister instead. And being the mummy, I'll have to stand in and discipline the naughty one. I think I will end up favouring one child more than the other.
This mummy started nagging at 4:03 PM

Needs lots of improvements!

Job Applied For : Elder sister
Applicant Name : Athena Ting
Applicant Age : 6

When she applied for the job 2 years ago, I was apprehensive in coping for 2. The comics - Baby Blues - scared the shit out of me! But then I thought it'll be better if they had company. Should the mother die of heart attack (when raising children) they can take care of one another... but I didn't think 2 kids could give me heart attack doubly fast; 2 kids who could miraculously bring up my low-blood pressure to high-blood pressure.

She's not coping well (ahem.......the mother is not coping well). She didn't demand more attention from me at all or do naughty things to make me angry. Let me rephrase that sentence in a more honest way - she demanded attention in many ways and often do things to make me angry.

She loves her sister so much that she ...... laughs at herself being kicked and punched by Aricia.. I spoke too soon, she whines at every damn thing. She shouts at her sister who retaliates by shouting back. She gets tickled at every little action Aricia does irritated when the sister unintentionally touches her and She will say things like "mummy, mummy just now Aricia touch / push my hand you know?" screams "mummy! mei-mei touch me. Mei-mei push me/take my toys/pencil etc.... (I hear her complaining/whining more)

She helps out and even wants to carry and feed Aricia. My God! I can't believe I actually said that!!!! She wants to be fed and carried now!

I have a feeling that Aricia will end up bullying the sister instead. Yes, she does but stops short when I raise my voice at her. And being the mummy, I'll have to stand in and discipline the naughty one. - guess who lor! Not mei-mei but the che-che! I think I will end up favouring one child more than the other.- yes! no doubt, I will discipline but can forgive the young one easily not the older girl.

Should I say she's been a good sister? I don't deny that she is a great help too and helps to take care of her when we're outside or runs to hug her when the mei-mei gets beating from me. The only thing I don't like is her constant attention-seeking ways - which doesn't seem to help even with all my reassurances that I still love her.
