Japan peev

25th Dec (Wed)

At the popular melon pan food stall.

Indian guy so bloody defensive. I feel it’s obvious that he intended to cut the queue. I was next in queue

Think he upset coz after the staff actioned to him behind and I also spoke out telling him the queue is behind. He kept repeating, “I know I’m just looking” 3 to 4x while I was there even while I was ordering food. Had that irritating fly buzzing in my ears. Come on lah! Don’t come and lie to me. U were standing on the side n looking at the types of melon pan on sale, then just before the customer was about to moved off, you walked to the front, 3 of you lining in a straight line. The staff told you, I told you coz I spoke English thinking u dun understand Japanese. Dun lie to me you were looking at the flavours when 3 of you stood in straight line and looking at the sign which has a smaller pic and wordings when YOU WERE LOOKING AT THE HUGE FONT sign. Just admit your mistake don’t keep repeating and obviously he was targeting me coz he was mumbling in english. With him repeating 3 - 4x, honestly I had to hold back my temper, I really feel like turning to him and slap him in his bloody face. Adult also so childish.

How I final came to the conclusion that it’s deliberate intention of him to cut queue, thinking maybe I’m Japanese and polite person n wouldn’t dare to confront him. Sorry hor! He met one who don’t give a damn n will tell ppl off.  I hate when ppl cut my queue. I waited so long for my turn and no way I will let someone cut my queue. The wife asked him where the queue is. Ha! U tell me did they even intend to queue up?

Not playing a racist game here but it’s just so predominantly that defensive unreasonable man came from a South Asia country that can argue the sun rises from the west.

Sign so big, cannot see? Don’t bluff lah! I saw them standing at one corner and pointing upwards to the menu.

They deliberately stood in a straight line infront of the cart blocking us even before the last customer left. And you tell me they are just looking at the menu here which is so small? I believe the staffs are told to look up and recognise the next customer in line.

Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised that there are many such incidents on a daily basis. As their queue can’t be directly infront of the cart blocking the pathway, many people wouldn’t have noticed it. But if the person simply apologises (afterall everyone makes mistakes) and move on, we would be more forgiving.

Blue arrow shows where we had to queue so as not to block the flow of people walking around as shown with the green arrow

I have accidentally stepped into somewhere before, someone told me and I apologised. I’ve also a few times looked like I intend to cut queue with people standing there to order, I just asked the person standing there if he don’t mind me taking pictures first and I would thank them twice. First time will be after I ask permission, second thanks will be after I took the picture before walking off. Most times when one is polite; the other party will be polite too. (I take coz I’m short sighted cannot see properly, take and zoom pic OR sometimes forward pic to girls to select the food they want.) But if I’m polite and the other person is nasty and want to pick up fight with me, I’m sure the third parties behind us would be on my side.

27th Dec (Fri)

Accompanied che-che again to get her last melon pan for this trip. The time we were seated there for her to finish her melon pan we noticed thrice where the customers unintentionally cut the queue. Carefully I brought up what I thought with regards to our encounter. Before I could complete my sentence che-che said what the guy did was intentional and it was so obvious.

Apart from this behaviour from this stranger, the rest of the trip is just beautiful filled with the friendly and good hosts Japanese.
