Time to boil chrysanthemum, infact two days in a row. Previously in April I boiled with the chrysanthemum in the mixing bowl, it was so leychey to scoop out and sift the flowers bit by bit. Then pour into the container through a filter to remove black sendiments.
For these 2 days, I tried with the chrysanthemum and everything else (except rock sugar) in the simmering basket. Saved a step for me. Basically all I need to do is to squeeze out the excess liquid from the flowers and herbs into the mixing bowl, use a sieve to pour the drink into a measuring cup with spout to catch small little petals. Thankfully it’s not a lot, coz basically majority are stuck in the simmering basket. After that use the filter as the last round of sendiments separation into the containers. I can infact skip the sieve if I want to and just pour into the measuring up from the mixing bowl. Anyway, the filter would be able to get rid of everything.
A faster process definitely. Just need to experiment if splash guard would help coz I did experience splatters of water coming out from the sides of Ms Thermie’s measuring cup.
