Term 2 : Home cooked meals - mainly dinner 😬

Didn’t cook today as the man is busy earning money and bonus for his wife. Anyway it’s first Wed of the month 

4th April (Thursday)

Fishball noodle soup. Fishball n noodles cut for baby Aricia to eat in the car. 

Then I realised I forgot about my own dinner! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Didn’t measure so all eyeball. 

Marinating chicken in the "blended in Thermomix and had teeny sticks of lemongrass" 😄 marinade. Maybe I should replace the fresh lemongrass with lemongrass powder the next time I attempt this again. Or maybe I should look for other recipes

Left is pandan wrapped and fried, right side is grilled / baked in oven

Hassle free cooking. Steaming tofu while cooking rice. 

Extra lemongrass n pandan n not sure when will cook again so just boiled drink for self. No sugar or sweetener added. 

8th May (Wednesday)

Was suppose to cook dinner and clear out the some things in the fridge before I leave, but lil' one told me that she received the Members' Thankful Day message in school. They didn't have it last Wednesday as it was a PH. 

No cooking means more likely I won't be cooking anymore this term. By the time I returned from US, she'll have 1-2 weeks of break before she starts her internship. 

Crochet flowers

Did a little errand after my lash appointment. A florist is just opposite Browhaus and I bought this for big girl. 

In the shop, a guy was also buying flower and toy for his female friend. The bouquet is really beautiful but I can only buy this. 

I had a short convo with the florist whom I do 打招呼 when I walked past last time. Florist ask me who’s the graduand -  “overseas where? Melbourne?” Huh? So many Singaporeans go there to study?  I said “no USA”. Shocked and exclaimed “so far!” Aiyah! Even if can bring into USA, you think I so crazy to buy from here to bring over meh? I can’t even tahan 18-19hrs onboard, the flowers also ….stressz. She then commented that there were customers who bought flowers from Singapore to go Australia. Siao ah! Cannot bring flowers into Oz at all. And where did the pax expect to put it? Hope he/she not so siao to put in overhead compartment coz Australian flights are always full load! Did the passenger expect the crew to help you put in chiller? (Hee….actually I do ask the crew to help me put my macarons n eclairs in the chiller. I also bribed them with some goodies too!) 

I was then reminded that a LSS received flowers from her admirer or boyfriend or new boyfriend whatever.. somebody trying to impress her at the airport before our flight departed. We saw the flowers and envy but all of us let out with a “so wasted! U can only admire onboard.” 

I know it’s crazy to bring there and bring back when we would need any possible space in luggage. She will surely niam niam. 反正我做这样那样也不行.  I wanted to just leave at home but ….her hands will be so empty when take photo lor! She want to niam let mini-mother niam me.

Not cheap also k! The girl cost $20. Two flowers at $18 each. Total damage = 56 + 5 (card) = $61

I suppose if there’s fresh flowers I can buy there but ….. not sure if they’re like in Singapore like that can buy it in reception area. It’s held in some huge arena and what if the sale is held in another place. Their building there is so far apart..I think I’ll be tired walking from one place to another. Also not convenient lah! We’ll be travelling and definitely have to discard it before returning.

Ps. Lil one saw this and asked why I didn’t buy it for her then. Commented that this is so much better than the one I bought for her. Sigh…I get the hint.

Tulips #2

Tulipmania 2024 will end on 26th May so I will not have any chance to see it anymore. As I had a 不三不四、不知道怎么安排时间 coz had to go lash lift (Browhaus) and cannot go tuina today + in same area. 

Really good that I'm alone so I can chop chop quick quick hop in.  

Will I have the time to drop by later this week or next Monday? But I really hope the tulips can wait for me in Chicago's Botanical Gardens.

Been procrastinating

Have been procrastinating to pack my bag as I feel I have more important stuffs to do - trying to clear as many days of iMovie as possible to only —- > add more photos again 😬. Never ending! I hope I can find the time while I'm there to finish the iMovies.   

It's also the first time I’m packing so many clothes, 6 days + 1 wearing. Usually I'll just pack the most 3 and then be ah-soh and wash and wash. For this trip, maybe I will not do any laundry in the last station . Hey! If there's 1001 things to do in that city, do you think I'll squeeze out a time to do laundry where I need to walk out of the hotel? 

All into one packing capsule. Gao dim!

You know it’s time for her to come back when ….. the toys are out on a wash. All ready to collect her saliva when she drools in her sleep. 

Time flies huh! I rmbr when I was so busy packing and checking her stuffs to go over and now she’s coming back for good. Sometimes I don't understand her lor.... she was granted two provisional acceptances into two different Masters course but she didn't want. Sigh..... just hope she quickly get a job here soon.

And the greedy girl, whom I thought was sleeping, executed her timing just before I brought out the tray and said she was hungry. Yah lah! I know her pattern. N do you know who's the greedy girl?

What kind of music school is it? 1 where d staff dun understand what bk I was look 4 tho' I explain. After tt she gave me a theory bk when all I asked 4 was a songbk. I enquired again she tell me " they're all here. U can take a look yourself. (how the heck am I going to pull out every book from their many shelves?) I dunno much." hmm..this is d same school tt told me "Suzuki Method is a brand." Siao!
