Power of music

I’ve been dragging my feet a bit on finalizing the holiday plans! Once I know I have a reliable copy-and-paste style itinerary, I tend to procrastinate 😂.

All the tickets and accommodations are sorted out, though. As someone who needs an itinerary planned down to the T, I just need to fine-tune the timing, sequence, and spots to visit. Yep, I’m that rigid! It’s not that I’m inflexible—I can work to accommodate some changes based on situation/s—but I just prefer having a solid plan. Plus, my memory isn't good enough to remember the details.

I hope I get all completed by this weekend.

@ 10.05pm. 🎶 Tum tum tum. I opened the word document and stared at it. Mind BLANKED OUT. No motivation leh …wasted 7mins staring at the screen and trying to listen to the beats of the song (above) and can’t work.

This music really got me going. I’m typing fast and my mind is racing! 🤣 I’m copying and pasting itineraries and doing a bit of research because I realized I missed a few spots last year. I want to make sure we cover them this year with lil’ one. Before I knew it, it was already 3:45 AM on 29th August.

When one luggage zipper closes another opens 🤣.

Hubby just got back few days ago and in few days time che-che is going for another short holiday alone.

Daddy asked her when he heard our convo about the luggage she is bringing "how long are you going?" 😂 #bringsuchabigluggage#

In the meantime .. I'm stuck here together with lil' one who can't travel 😥

Che-che chose the flowers and combination. Lil' one wanted a certain colour rose but think it's too messy to have so many different type of flowers in a quite small vase, so I told her I'll get it the next round.

She's got good taste! The colour she chose really matches. Very 高いorchid, but orchid is lasting (I hope) so it can be gentle on my wallet.

The hydrangeas are browning but still quite ok-looking. 3rd week 了. Moved this vase over to coffee table. White roses from last week.

Date: yesterday

Place: lift @ MSCP

Characters : 2 men and a woman (me)

One man with a box, one man with a trolley, one woman with 3 manageable plastic bags.

Lift door opens at our level in MSCP, since I was at the door I held the door thinking the last man who came in should be out first, since he was with the trolley. Followed by man with box then me.

But no......we were like a bunch of "you go first" ppl.

The trolley man put his hand at the door for me, I said it's ok let me hold the door. He looked at the man with box, he also give way to either one of us.

Hahaha! In the end, trolley followed by box and me. It makes logical sense coz the door is going to slam into someone's body if neither of them can hold.

I've never seen such chivalrous action for so long.

Ah..... So deceiving! She fights with her sister for everything except food.

Lil one told me today, 'Mummy, my Show n Tell today I speak very loud. The whole class can hear me." After picking che-che up from school. She asked her sister "Che-Che today I speak so loud for my Show n Tell. Can you hear me from your classroom?"

😝 *thinking to self* if sister can hear means almost half of the school can hear her.

Aiyoh! Over the weekend was Che-Che puking n having some stomach virus. Today on MC, kept them a distance n spraying Dettol. And then when I was not watching, they both shared a jelly n hugged n sat so close *slap head* - usually at loggerheads today suddenly so good friend. Now it's my skinny girl puking.

Sianz! Choy! At the rate I take care of them n sleeping with the sick child.... Better pop all my Vit Cs.

Power of music

Lost the concentration. Was researching on upcoming trip then was distracted and went to blog 😂😂. I think I seriously need to test if I have attention deficit.

Now need to be back on track. So it’s to the Christmas music that I always need, anytime of the year, to keep my mind working hard. Ehh…maybe hard for the next 15mins before I lost my interest again.

When this is out means ….

Someone is travelling again. Just need to find which number is tagged to her phone, then checked the battery. Realised AirTags battery depletes fast 🤨.

I have to put (numbers) on it for easier identification. So it’s either (1) or (4) that is tagged to her phone

Che-che’s week trip to xxx with her uni friends. Makes me wonder why when I was working I didn’t even go on a holidays with my friends.

AirTags getting busy

Our last trip was in March, 5 months ago, so AirTags were in storage. Now getting busy the next 3 months. When she’s back, daddy will go on his month long trip. Lil’ one and I will also go on a trip for a week while he is away. He returns. Then in October che-che is travelling again. Yup! Travelling is so so different now. I want to go for another solo trip 😜 but me no money 😩.

The matcha expert is here! One of che-che's friend is a matcha connoisseur 😄, so I brought down whatever matcha powder we have and let them play.

The girls all gathered in the small kitchen, che-che outside at dining area looking in. Now che-che's ‘playdate' is UPPed leveled - from the I can bluff kids to bake to this matcha noisy ceremony (no Zen, just noisy 😆)

Wah..师父！师父有功夫。

Coz someone broke my first bowl so I had to Taobao this. I saw a few nice designed bowls in Japan but no way am I going to spend so much $$ again to have it broken into pieces by careless family members. If this breaks again, I'll just use my plastic bowls to whisk my matcha.

And then they asked for milk. Haha! I totally forgot about the milk coz I normally drink my matcha plain 🤭. Never mind, I used the Nepresso latte pods and dispense the latte into the cup. Coz I was only left with 2 latte pods, told 师父 if she needs then we use the Japanese condensed milk I have. Haha!

Abit of mixing styles here and there. Haha!

The girls WFH today, che-che's friends came over to hang out they also WFH but they work from my home 😂. I'm WIAH (work-is-at-home 😆) today and everyday.

Lil' one rainbow looming in her mouth 😉. She should be able to remove her braces at the end of the year.

Che-che had hers removed today. Yay! Another appt in 6 days time to collect her retainers.

It's been a year plus of bracing for them.

Remembered the first day they both had their braces on just like it was yesterday. And they had that awkward silence, and when they spoke they both sounded like Tweety birds.

Was doing my iMovie (yup! I'm 8mths slow. Too many videos already..finishing the last bits for Paris) and these videos ... 😭

Told che-che she's been to 2 church that had gone thru destruction. Christchurch Cathedral before the earthquake and Notre Dame before the fire. Not my first time in Notre Dame tho', I even went for mass with my colleagues, not that we understood what was going on but I agat- agat knew what was happening lah! When ppl turned around and said in french, we didn't know what was going on until I told colleagues "peace be with you". We spoke in anglaise to ppl around us. Haha!

On a rare school day (weekday) afternoon …..

The girls wanted to play Badminton and che-che's request is lil' one to play volleyball with her.
I went for my part 2 workout since still in gym attire n all smelly...

And things change now, there's no such thing as half day for uni.

Less than 10mins they came to me....siblings

must fight lor！要吵架就在家吵架，还带来gym 吵架. Came to complain to me, then they joined me in gym.

Next time we shall try 🎾 tennis, need to get the

rackets first tho. Told che-che I can't play so will anyhow whack the ball across if she wants me to play with her. She said she'll teach me. Heehee!
