I just realised I haven't listened to her CD. I'd like to download into my itunes too but not sure how to do it. I can't possibly buy from Apple music right? I'll be paying double price.

Pacing myself

Please remind me l only have a pair of hands, a not so young body anymore, Grab driver, housework.

Need to pace myself coz I don't have any helper.

OMG! A walk down memory lane of my solo bao-gah-liao move from Punggol to here!!

Sigh.....

unpacking the kitchen slowly. Ran out of boxes so yesterday dropped by to get more boxes between my Fightdo class and lil' one's therapy session. I hope the boxes are enough.

Need to put the loose items (from one small cabinet in kitchen and the laundry room) inside boxes now that I bought more. Yard looks super messy.

For kitchen: Left with the crockeries, pots n pans n gadgets, under sink and the condiments cabinets to pack.

For 2 toilets: need to pack the cabinets

All for the mini reno works in 4 places whilst still living there. Hate to think about the dust collection while works are carried out.

Also hate to remind myself but .... are the painters going to paint the yard area too?

Yes, it’s quite an overtly exaggeration to start packing so soon when reno works will only start in last week of May. It’s not a pleasant sight for me too to see the mess. To those who can pack up the same week as renovation, you’re lucky coz you have many hands! I’m not lucky, it’s a one man show for me. Makes me wonder if I should have learnt to act dumb, soft “我不会做。 饿…..很痛很累”afterall I’m a lady. Yah some people I know very teh…very 娘娘腔。一点点痛 can act until ….I just want to kick and slap them. (I’m frustrated really frustrated so let me vent my anger out here)

The man knows I can handle this so he really left everything to me. Kena sai! He better appreciates me!!

31st Mar 2020

The fussy girls' breakfast. I tried it this morning and 自卖自夸 not bad taste

And sandwich for the big girl. My scrambled egg 😂. Time to say farewell to the anpanman pan which I used to make pancakes with (the bento days). then when they didn't want anything to do with my big portion cook all at once n freeze pancakes, I used it more for frying nice round sunny side ups. Doesn't seem to work as well as before.

With Nutella for lil’ one

31st Mar 2020

Prepared lil' one's crepes batter for the second time today. She likes the crepe for breakfast on Monday so requested for crêpes on Tuesday.

I didn't want to use my cleaned blender to mix the ingredients, but it seems like I gotta follow instructions. Despite whisking it a while I can't seem to remove the lumpy butter so used the blender again. Haiz!

Two troublesome (differing taste) girls, che-che wants her toasted sandwich with melted cheese n patty n fried egg for breakfast.

31st Mar 2011

Was talking to a friend in the afternoon abt what I had to threaten Aricia with. Normally parents will say,"you dun do this tmrw dun bring u out/buy u things etc..

With Aricia I say,"u dun do properly/u misbehave, tmrw I dun bring u to Shichida/school." Her reaction is "I want!!!!! I want to go Shichida/school!!" LOL

What happened to my mobile FB? Can't install from APP, stated as "Installed". Sync also nothing happen.

Help!

Just some aunty ranting

Can I always have such luxury time of my own?

Sitting here in Starbucks waiting for che-che to finish lecture then we can proceed to VCH for Chloe Chia’s concert later.

Just so many things I need to do.

Packing up the kitchen n toilets. I know it’s still weeks away, probably I’ll ask them to start work on first week of May? As end April have all the courses which I’ve already signed up for.

Secretly been wanting to do a solo trip to Japan. Then I can’t make it in time for Tokyo where sakuras are already in full bloom now. I move my finger up on the map of Japan. Even Hokkaido (full bloom in May?) will be an idea which will vanish in thin air. Hopefully next year I can do one solo trip.

THE POST POST COVID 3yrs later

I was editing a backdated post to CB period in my blog (yup! It's that late) and I looked out of the house from the dining area's mirror. No one has walked past my unit for the last 30mins or so.

Feels so surreal, though it was scary at that time in 2020, the whole place was so quiet (. My unit's a high traffic area and nobody walked past, even my Mr Sunbird didn't come by (he couldn't find a mask that fits him). I kindda miss that time when I don't have to leave the house tho I was slave from morning

to night, going to bed with a bad backache n tired legs each night. Peace was broken with the girls noisy during their 'break time' or 'school's over', I didn't even have much time to play the electone or tinkering on the piano keys.

Fast forward 3yrs later, this was almost the time when the girls had to clear their lockers and I told them suspiciously that there will be a lockdown.

10 prettiest cities

extracted from : https://www.cntraveller.com/gallery/best-cities-in-europe

10. Rome, Italy

Italy's capital city, Rome is unarguably best known for its magnificent Colosseum, a sprawling Roman forum that showcases the best of the region's Classical architecture. And the historical landmarks come thick and fast here, from the famed Spanish steps, the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon, a former Roman temple.

9. Palma, Spain

Backed by forest-clad mountains, Palma, in the western Mediterranean, is known for its sun-soaked beaches, meandering back alleys and the Gothic landmark of Santa Maria Cathedral. History buffs revel in the myriad fortresses here, from the Almudaina in the centre to Bellver Castle, its unique circular expanse perched on a hilltop to the west of the city.

8. Munich, Germany

Bavaria's capital of Munich is perhaps best-known for its Oktoberfest celebration, which takes place each year, where the city's streets and parks become a momentary home to beer halls and thousands of revellers enjoying the celebratory atmosphere that engulfs the Neo-Gothic architecture and parks.

7. Florence, Italy

Well-known for its rich culture, architectural marvels and Renaissance art, the city of Florence is peppered with galleries and museums, and at its centre, Duomo, the terracotta-tiled cathedral built by Brunelleschi with its famed bell tower the work of Giotto. Sleep over at one of the best hotels in Florence; start your day marvelling over works at the famous Uffizi Gallery and end it with a sundown aperitivo at one of the city's myriad rooftop bars. Bellissimo!

6. Istanbul, Turkey

Taking the top spot as Europe's best city in the 2021 Readers' Choice Awards, Istanbul has managed to hang onto a place in the top 10, and for good reason. Dubbed one of the most beautiful places in Turkey, visitors rave about the golden hour, where the sun illuminates the city's magnificent Blue Mosque.

5. Barcelona, Spain

Sandwiched between the sea and the mountains, Barcelona fans out from the central shopping of Las Ramblas – which runs down to the beach – and its varied landscape ranges from undulating parklands, like Park Güell, bespeckled with artwork, to boulevards where delis and cafés spill out onto cobbled pavements. The famed architecture here can be seen around every turn, from the fantastical Sagrada Família church to modernist sites designed by Gaudi.

4. Stockholm, Sweden

Stockholm, the capital of Sweden – and its largest city – is made up of 14 islands, connected by 50 bridges, each with its own character and unique history. The old town, made up of cobblestone streets and amber-hued buildings, is home to the 13th-century Storkyrkan Cathedral, the Kungliga Slottet Royal Palace and the Nobel Museum, while around it, a meticulous ferry system transports visitors across the waters between each island.

3. Copenhagen, Denmark

Denmark's capital, Copenhagen, has long upheld its accolade of the happiest city in the world, known for its hardy community spirit, exciting foodie scene and myriad canals that link the city's various districts. From the 18th-century Rococo district – built during the reign of Frederick V and the site of the Amalienborg Palace – to Østerbro, perched on the outskirts of the city, built around Copenhagen’s medieval fortification.

2. Oslo, Norway

The citizens of Oslo are a population notably keen to showcase the best of their city to visitors, from the Oslo Cathedral – still used by the Norwegian Royal Family and the Norwegian Government for key events throughout the year – to Akershus Castle. Baroque architecture dots the city and in and amongst it, no less than 30 museums showcasing the city's history, art and political history, as well as myriad hiking trails around the rivers and gardens that wind their way around the outskirts.

1. San Sebastían, Spain

Spilling up and around the coastline of the Bay of Biscay, the resort town of San Sebastián in Spain’s mountainous Basque Country bags the top spot as Europe's best city to visit. It's an area known for its relaxed atmosphere, long stretches of honey-hued beaches and various foodie outposts with world-famous chefs at their helm.

3 Ways to use
Boosting / Best for nourishing and heavy textures - Place the head of the device and gently push up against the skin.
Watering / Best for watery and hydrating textures. - Place the head of the device on the skin and roll in circular motions.
Focus / Best for sheet masks or highly concentrated textures. - Place the head of the device onto areas of concern and press for 3 seconds before moving on to the next area.

I chose the Deep Vitamin C ampoule as a freebie. To my surprise or maybe not they gave tons of samples. What surprised me was the huge box of Super Cica Mask which is retailing at S$31 was a freebie too. So what is the factory price of this gadget 😂?

So what’s the difference between this and my previous Vanav UP6 which was so convincingly good when I read about it in 2020. I was so tempted to get it then coz it had so many features in the small handheld gadget which I didn’t need to get another one to take up space in my already small cabinet. So why did I buy it?

It has the Vit C, mask and eye. Ok, I can’t blame myself if I keep complaining I have no money to buy myself a Hermes bag if I keep buying all these gadgets, can I?

What tempted me to get this now coz I’ve always wanted a glossy Korean face look and with me nearing 50, I get more edgy over my looks without spending more money in the aesthetic clinics (I have no money and no time. Not a woman of luxury aka tai-tai). I have friends who look haggard for our age, and I wouldn’t want that. Haha! I think first thing I need to do is to sleep early. My sleep pattern is really late at 4am for the past months. Perhaps if I slept early, I wouldn’t have to spend money on these gadgets..

This mailer from Kiehls came just in time.

Just this and I'm feeling not myself. Haha! I pumped in sugar too fast. Now I'm slouching in seat and drinking my water.

Not drinking anymore, bringing it home to 2 other guinea pigs.
