Funny girl

Lil one has always been the victim of our teasing.

And so this morning hubby decided to send che-che to school instead (coz I told him I’d send lil' one to school so I will stay in PP n pick her up) and immediately lil’ one reaction was "why change? I thought daddy you're supposed to send me to school? Why nobody wants me?"

Haha!

13th Sep 2011

Last night brought Che-Che downstairs to join my friend. We went down without lantern coz dunno when n where KZ put all the lanterns.(When did she change spot for me? N she can't rmbr where..). A neighbour was so kind, bumped into him on way n he asked where we were going n I laughed at ourselves for going down without a lantern. Guess what? He came down n personally delivered to us a lantern.

Meimei (I heard) cried for not being able to go down with us.

On This Day - 12th Sep #Reminders from FB#

In 2011

I left HKG with two kids in tow. They were at their best behaviour as I did the check-in. And what can I say when we got onto the plane? My kids have always been good travellers.

Ride. Che-che was so brave to go for second round. Yay! Next time I have kaki liao. Dunno if she dares to go on Magic Mountain rides, first row with me.

She likes rides now. Pity we hv to scrap plans this year end to the US due to interruptions for some band thingy smacked with in between timing.
Can't go for long trips. Who says having kids in secondary school is easy?

TCM - treatment from roots

I was brought up in a home where mom would boil herbal drinks, brew chinese herbs. So growing up, I was so used to the horrid bitter tastes and would think this is what all mothers do? No? As what I learnt from some mummy friends they don't brew herbs or boil herbal drinks, if they need 凉水 they'd just buy from the aplenty medical hall around the island.

Naturally as I got pregnant, I was given the queenly treatment of 炖药. The medical hall that mom frequents in Tampines did every step of the way for us. I didn’t get the normal 十三台宝 but rather a custom made 补品 that changes every month. And when I got to know the gender, proper prescriptions to 补 female reproductive system. I have two girls, so I wouldn’t know what’s prescribed for those having boys. As I was told, 燕窝 can only come in during third trimester. I was so looking forward to it all the time. Can’t have birds nest too early as it may cause baby having asthma next time.
After birth was another round of prescription with sinseh checking on my progression during my confinement period from mom, and customise herbs accordingly. It was a heavy investment during and post pregnancy, costing more than usual. Maybe coz 老板娘 see us willing to spend the money so 敲诈 as much money as she can from us?

Needless to say, if my growing kids had any ailments I’d go to the medical hall. However, she left (closed shop and divorced her strayed husband and opened one medical hall on her own) without telling us her next location. I’d say I totally trust her coz my girls turned out rather healthy. Have mighty lungs as mighty as a dragon. Have strength as strong as a bull. Can be teething so many teeth at one time without any fever. Have beautiful lustrous healthy hair, grow up to be so presentable looking (tho I must credit it has to do with the genes too!)
Now I have no choice but to go to the one in Parkway Parade. Not sure if he's good but a friend told me his brother has better "skills". But I guess I'm simply lazy to start all over again in a new medical hall. But I'm more than willing to travel the distance if it's the previous lady.

Currently I'm rather anxious over lil' one's height issue (she's only 145cm at 13+yrs old) so I get from him herbal packs of 田七 to brew with 花生根。
Recently, I was worried with kids getting stressed from school so asked what else can I add in the chrysanthenum drink I boil every week. I usually put 金银花 in so he introduced 石斛 to me. I swear I've seen this before but just wasn't sure of its usage.
Just for my records :
金银花 (honeysuckle) - is something like an antibiotic

石斛 (dendrobium) - helps in fatigue, high brain usage (tho I feel the girls aren't their brains as much as they should)

In summary, TCM goes into the root of any health problems. In order to be healthy, one should take good care of our inner health.
