As lil’ one is getting ready for new school, her ranting became more regular “my laptop is spoilt, battery spoil, plug in also slow loading, low blah blah blah..”
I just don’t understand, her laptop was purchased in 2020 just before lockdown. 6 years only 就坏？The laptop I’m using at home is a pass me down from hubby and is much much older than hers, still works though I need to make sure laptop remains plugged in.
After sending her laptop to Lenovo Service Centre and getting quotation for the ‘hard to get it now old’ battery, hubby decided to get her a new one.
Immediately she said she wanted a Mac. I suppose she wanted to copy her sister who has a MacBook Air for JC or was it Uni (and no we’re not sponsoring che-che anymore laptop, anyway that girl bought her own computer this year for gaming). Honestly I’m clueless on how to use a Mac. But the man was grouching that Mac is expensive, maybe he was thinking of the higher ends ones. While I was thinking that a Windows laptop is not cheap either. I have no idea what to look out for in laptops or what is considered better than the other thus needed the man to help. He said he’s only willing to pay Neo. Either she gets the full sponsorship or none at all 😂. We had to be heartless coz we had to teach her that money don’t just drop from the sky.
In Apple, the staff was convincing her that the Neo will suffice for her, a student. Hubby and I told her not worth paying the extra $700 for the same basic usage she’s using it for. 又不是大生意人. And it was an either you take the sponsorship or you pay the whole $1500++ yourself.
Doing the opening ceremony. Teaching her how to use it while the two dinosaur-age parents just looked, blur 😶🌫️and told her “you better learn properly coz we dunno how to teach you after that”.
