When she’s away

When a kid is away, one will think that it’s one job less to handle but not in my case. With reference to the post on 2nd Sep, I have to do a thorough cleaning in her room.
Normally I just do a surface wipe with Method anti-bacterial all purpose spray OR Dettol OR bleach. No fixed cleaner to use but just rotate them around, when I wake up with whatever mood I’m in that morning 😂.

The day she left, 2nd Sep (Tue), removed bedsheet and protector and washed all her toys.

Then I left it as that and only thoroughly cleaned her room just before she returns. In between those days I still vacumn and mop her room.

6th Sep (Sat) - the work begins
(a) wash bedsheet and protector
(b) vacumn bed
(c) wipe the walls and ceiling (I do this every month around the house, I just wipe her room’s wall n ceiling 3wks ago so wiped again). Honestly I don’t know if it’s clean but I would think it is so, I always use the static wipe/duster to clean.
(d) ceiling fan was just cleaned on Wed (3rd) so I didn’t clean it 🤭
(e) Steaming up her room to clean whatever I can with the steamer. Window, window grilles, table etc…every corner every spot. Oh! Not really every spot, there’s a particular area I can’t clean coz she has my son-in-laws pics on a small part of the wall 🤣.

Honestly, not much dirt in her room lor! The water is clean, the wipes are clean. Was I being too extra?

Since I do clean the house regularly with all the cleaners, bleach, so why do I have to bring out my steam cleaner machine? Is there any difference? I thought maybe I should use heat to break down whatever dirt and clean without the use of chemical laden cleaners. I’ve stopped diffusing essential oil in the house for quite a while now, not sure if it triggered her eczema last time. Maybe ideally next time I should use more natural cleaners, let me finish all my supplies first 😜.

Think for her room next time I will just steam clean.
