Now look like showroom kitchen. I want to maintain it this way. Don't cook! 😂
Good news, I have empty cabinets now! Nope, I didn't have bigger space infact slightly smaller in depth.
Re-painting the house is next on the list. It's long overdue. Let Ah-nia rest first. Old liao body cannot take it. 😆
Tho I'm not the one painting but I think I gotta move things out of the way right?
The hood, hob n oven look more centralised now. I love it!
There's discounted space in the cabinets above the hood 😭
coz needed a "chimney space" which I didn't know the new hood has it. The original hood has no "chimney" (so where did the sucked up fumes go to all those years I turn on the hood?) so l had long ample space above. True enuf lor... my instant noodles box cannot put in that long cabinet anymore. Had to find somewhere else. Thank goodness my OXO containers still fit.
Needless to say, it was a challenge to move things around. I mean, I have organization boxes/containers to organize them before and now??? Sigh.... Carpenter uncle kept saying "once cabinet up then you put things.
Nobody can determine what to put in the cabinets yet." | asked him to help me drill hole higher so I can adjust the shelf height. He repeated the same thing again. I told him "my sauce bottle is 30cm tall then where can I put?
So I might as well adjust the height now."
I explained so many times to everyone "keep everything the same, keep the layout the same coz now everything fits nicely." During the initial measurement, told boss the same thing. Then I realised he extended the height of dishdrying rack eating into the space of the top cabinet; he made my long 2 door cabinet became 1 door each.
Said "it's ok you organise your stuffs after that." "I gotta cut my tea set box in half?" | answered. Haiz...
He did change it but cannot fit the tea set horizontally (depth is discounted). Luckily the height inside can fit it vertically, still worried if the things inside might fall out.
Why I had to stress so many times my new kitchen cabinets can be slightly bigger but not smaller. So better to keep it as it is, don't change anything. Kitchen is already so small, no space and I only have things that I need. Gimme smaller I sure have big problem.
So in love with the sintered stone top that I want to change the bathroom tiling to sintered stone. I hate the grout lines in our master toilet shower area, maybe coz I kept scrubbing too much 🤭. So if I want to change the bathroom tiling, the slab must be a whole piece to minimise grouting lines. Sintered stone costs : $210/ft
Cleaning will be so so much easier as seen how easy it is to clean the matte sintered stone kitchen so far. Dries fast so it’s good to have sintered stone in the wet often humid bathroom, will reduce bacteria 🦠 (my mentality). I always talk about wanting a Japanese bathroom to make cleaning easier for me, this is a good alternative coz all I need to do is to wipe down the walls and squeegee dry the shower floor.
