Lovely time together
First thing she said as she stepped into the house, was when she walked into her room. "Ahh...my room.
I then made her stand at the height chart. Estimated 120cm tall. Che-Che's overshot the chart but l'm still keeping it for sentimental reason.
I asked if she felt weird coming back to this house she's lived for 8+ years. She said "yes", although it's only been 20 sleeps.

Where's Mamadelivery Collection Point?
Bright colours to brighten up my days as I awoke to a sad news few days ago.
Really needed bright colours in the house.
tulips 🌷 again. This time I wanted brighter colours, so told staff I wanted red, pink and purple tulips. At the same time I let her choose for me the roses' colour.
Freesias was included as well as I wanted the nice smell lingering in the dining area.
Vase is too big, at least I can gauge how much space is left with the amount of flowers I have inside now. So before I go pok-gai from buying (probably) 7 bunch to fit in this vase, I better get a smaller vase 😜. Would appreciate if you would give recommendation on where to get nice vase.
Staff was really sweet and friendly despite being so busy running around. I'd love to run around in her place.
Becoz there wasn't any pictures, I didn't know what I was going to get. And she didn't disappoint me in coordinating the colours for me.

And since my blender is out ..... also need to try to finish the yoghurt - açai smoothie

And becoz we planned to bake this a long time ago, I was able to hoard the cream cheese. But had trouble finding sour cream in NTUC a few times so finally gave up and used yoghurt substitute

You know you're about to give up on cooking when at the 2nd CB (school hols), you decided to be a little smarter and start prepping/cooking dinner after lunch. So that I can get everything all scrubbed up before dinner, keep back cleaned utensils leaving only bowls for rice n cutleries. So after dinner I'm only left with the last bits of washing n drying and another 2 quick wipes (the final one with my DIY Thieves Spray cleaner) on the stove and kitchen top.
And this works for me.
I have only 1 frying pan at home, though I can also cook in the other pots. But I only like to use one stove, unless I need to simmer soup for a longer period, l'Il use 2
When it's all cleaned and dried, the pots are placed there ready for re-heating.
Thank goodness it's only dinner I'll cook dishes. Lunch is usually one dish meal.
But I think everyone is like 勉强地吃
My dear friend came from LA this morning. Despite her fatigue, she was entertaining us.
Che-Che said she wanted to meet up with her during her stay here (but she has school so not sure how to work the timing). The funniest thing was I didn't know Che-Che also went to the same ramen place in Orchard with her friends for lunch, we missed each other by half hour.

Recent PTM on Thursday:
I asked teacher about her speed in doing work in class, coz at home she writes slow and expect her words to be neat. In real exam situation, nobody has the luxury for time.
Teacher says she finishes her work quite fast, then always turn to look at friends, once in a while talk to friends. But she's been a little quieter this year coz she has to help this girl assigned to sit next to her.
"Very sweet, she'll go all the way out to help her. But that girl is very quiet so Aricia is a little quieter in class." I'm was surprised and said she's way too chatty this year, even when doing work she's been talking more than usual. Then it dawned upon me, could it be my girl R in school, then out of school she LET IT GO......

I'm 90% recovered now .....
But I just heard the lil' one coughing. Oh no! We're flying off next Fri....#j1+½??
Felt bleh when I walked around the old place some time last week. The house is ..ok not that empty coz we only moved our bed n the instruments over.
When I close their bedroom door, memories came back. The days when my mushroomed-head Athena was asked to stand and with a book/ruler I'd indicate her height on it. Then the skinny girl came along in
2006. Asking that girl to stand straight was tiring, not as obedient as her che-che. But somewhat managed.
Does anyone have any idea how I can move this over? It's a sticker height measurement. It's way too precious for me.
What lil' one told me this afternoon made me laugh.
She: Mummy, on Saturday if I get lost at the carnival.
I must go to the Lost & Found. They will make announcement and you must come for me.
[*pause* thinks she's trying to be funny with her next sentence)
If you are lost, you must go to the Lost & Found and I will come for you.
Me: Huh? Me lost? How can parents get lost, it's usually the kids who wanders off from parents and they get lost. Anyway, I don't think you'll pay attention to announcement when you're playing.
She: (trying to save herself)
No.. what I mean is.. ok (talks animatedly) I know you are familiar with the school you will not get lost.
Maybe other parents will. But what I mean is in case, just in case. Ok? I come for you.
She's my MOTHER!
Me: I think if you're lost and they make announcement. I'll pretend not to hear. And if I'm lost, I won't go to the Lost & Found.
She: No.... must…... (concerned look) …... (pause)
Mummy must go to Lost & Found.
(still waiting for her to process her thoughts which is really slow)

We asked mei-mei what happened to Panda in the end. Her answer was "Panda went to the Zoo." prompt further "panda fight China."
Hints of what happened in the cinema....as usual she fell asleep. Heehee!

I LUV my school. The girls are taught to have fun!fun! fun! At the same time the girls study hard.
Fond years I had in the school. And now my older gir is 'letting her hair down too' Way to go IJ (Katong) Pri and KC
Six years ago, this teacher saw Aricia for the first time. And commented that she's able to adapt quickly to places, and vy daring. Totally different from her sister. Fast forward, my prayers were answered. She is her form teacher this year.

It’s her usual no school day. Was home the whole day until she left about 2hrs before picking lil’ one up. She went down to Changi to submit her application for US visa.
Picked her sister up and they went to TMall for Genki Sushi and made a trip to pasar malam n Donki. Lil’ one is happy when her sister picks her up coz I’d definitely allow them to settle dinner themselves (as her dismissal time is late at 5pm). If it’s mummy picking her, I prefer to pack and send her home immediately. I just want to get back home asap.
10th May (Wed)
Che-che had a paper (exam) today, so she drove to school. She was tasked to pack dinner before picking lil’ one up.
She dropped by Changi City Point before picking lil’ one up from school and packed dinner for themselves n Old Chang Kee for me.
11th May (Thu)
I can’t leave house coz installation will be the whole day. So che-che told me last minute she wasn’t going out with her friend/s and she can pick lil’ one up from school. Otherwise, I would have asked lil’ one to take a bus home but knowing that lazy girl - she would get Grab home.
Anyway, the girls discussed in the car yesterday that they will go Jewel to eat. Wah…..so good life the 2 girls. Now that lil’ one also has a debit card which daddy tops up for her, they can just use it lor! Must make them go out to work to know the meaning of “hard-earned money”.
They reached home at 3pm only to leave home again for Starbucks @ Hougang Mall as the study room was occupied. I needed them to be out as wasn’t sure when he would start doing the toilets and the whole house was still so dusty. They came back at 5+pm. 早知道他没有 do the toilets today should just make the girls shower and hide in their room the first time they came back.
