Just when we’re heading for Japan in 3 days time, lil’ one craved for ramen. And it has to be shoyu ramen, she wanted nothing else. She made it so challenging for me cause although SIN is not short of Japanese ramen eateries, not many sell shoyu ramen.
Found one opposite IGARD, as we had to go down to collect her new glasses. @ Ichikokudo. I tried the soup and ehh….nothing fantastic lor. This place is good for non fussy eaters. For che-che who is a true Japanese fanatic ramen girl, I’m sure she will agree with me.
She’s happy but she has no choice but to try to finish as much as she can, I’m not sharing with her
In anticipation that I will get the insides of my stomach tangled with all the ramen in coming trip, I opted for non-ramen dish myself. A karaage dish which was presented in a fusion way with mayonnaise and so much spring onion (is chef trying to finish his spring onion??), this convinced me that Ichikokudo definitely does not have a main restaurant in Hokkaido. Though my food tastes weird, I finished everything with a huge gulp of water last few spoonfuls. Just weird!
