No time!

Can't wait for exams to be over so I clear all the backlog of blog entries.
I am so busy as if I'm running a conglomerate. Truth is, I'm not! I'm not PAID FOR MY JOB!!!!! This job sucks!

Not only do I need to clear backlogs, I haven't done anything about organising the photos according to months and then start transferring them to hard disk. I've said this for the longest time already. Sigh.........

By then, it'll be me "ignoring mei-mei" again? Coz' I don't have much time to do much in the time they're both in school. I feel so bad for not doing much with her for the past 3 weeks. Really gotta thank KZ for her help in guiding her in her homeworks. And my girl actually asked me for it "mummy, I want to 读书读书 (study)"

I've already put che-che's P1 books aside. Hee! Or perhaps I can throw them away since she don't need them anymore and most textbooks can't be passed down to mei-mei. By then there might be changes in their syllabus and also the textbooks do have some questions inside. With all the scribbling, how to pass to mei-mei? I need to tidy up their room too!

Someday during the school hols, I'm going to tidy up (throw) the storeroom with KZ's help. Stayed here coming 7 years, I'm sure I do have alot of junks stashed in there. Goash! Sounds like my whole house is in a mess.

I've got another 2 or rather 3 missions to accomplish.
Those are :
1) I've volunteered to help out in che-che's school for her concert. Duh! Lagi no time!!
2) BD celebration in school. Yup! The school allows for celebration in P1. Gotta do baking and pack the goodie bags
3) BD celebration at home. She's lucky that she has a celebration with her friends this year (when mei-mei don't get it)coz' daddy needs to defer the next module as he needs to travel. Lucky girl! Hmm.... unfortunately we are keeping really small this year coz' the house can't accomodate too many (walking past guests sitting on the floor). She gets to choose her guest list. So my apologies if those who are reading this and are not invited. Well, take it that you get to save $$ by not buying her a birthday present.

Okay, I better drop the idea of a Christmas party too! I'll be too exhausted to live through the next CNY!!

One day, she was talking and yakking to herself. I thought she was complaining to me about her sister and acknowledged her 'complaints'. But my girl didn't hear me and continued yakking, only then did I realise she wasn't talking to me.
Then her tone changed, she became rather fierce and she was heard saying "keep your erasers! I said keep your erasers. Listen to me! "

Woah! Think my girl makes a good monitor/prefect?

Phew!

Was planning a trip down to Wheelock on Friday, thank goodness I don't need to now.

A stopover at the Apple store in TM, I asked them about the servicing centre and their operating hours (so that I can optimise my time on Friday - running 4 places that day all within Orchard area). Then I asked "do you think they'd service my phone coz' it's bought in US." She was speaking softly to me after I asked that question. "Apple will not service your phone coz' it's only meant for US use and you brought it in illegally." I joked, "so when I send this for servicing, I'd be sent to jail coz' I've done something illegally." (and here I am writing brazenly for the whole world to read) She didn't understand it was a joke. Her colleague passed by us and then spoke softly to us. Hee! We looked like we were plotting something secretive. Oops! Explained what code is different there's no way I can service the phone if it dies on me in the future. (she did help me to do a soft reset. I cross my fingers that nothing of this sort happens again, I worry about my datas being lost; my 'brain' in coma forever.

Goash! I realised I can't live without this phone. The Calendar that keeps all of my memory; the address and contacts of all my lovers; the games that will keep my children quiet (until they start fighting over who's not sharing the phone etc..).

I spent my day in a daze, recalling what I had to do today. Now my memory's back. Yay! WELCOME BACK IPHONE. YOU BETTER DON'T DIE ON ME!!!!!

Hubby did ask me to upgrade the phone. Hmm.. maybe I should ask him "you mean you're buying for me??" Perhaps he'd rather get me the new phone than to get frustrated over this IT idiot wife and bothering him to bring to his IT.

Shucks!

Dunno what happened to my iPhone, the screen suddenly went blank. I called the number, can ring but I can 't seem to pick up phone.

Shucks! Have to make that trip down to Wheelock asap - and worry if I'm able to get called my number fast or if they can do anything for me (since the phone was not purchased here). Worst thing is if I've lost the datas inside - which means I've lost my mind - coz' I've got alot of infos inside.

The fight

The children had a hilarious fight.

I overheard mei-mei telling che-che "mummy is my mummy." When che-che claims I'm also her mummy, mei-mei said "no! mummy is my mummy. Daddy is your daddy."

Mei-mei bangs the dining table and kept shouting for her chinese medicine. Told her that she's to take twice a day not like her sister (x3), she gets angry.

Well, told the sinseh about this and how she said she was going to complain to doctor; the doctor bursts out laughing .

Yah! I've got a weird kid. She loves chinese medicine but she hates herbal drinks - we have to force feed her.

Our walkabout on Friday morning

We were like sore thumbs sticking out in that place as we made our walkabout in the morning.

Gave che-che a break from her work & the preparation for her upcoming PHD (aka SA2). She was really excited when she saw me making the turn into East Coast, "I know mummy........you bring me to the birthday party place right?" Thinking that KFC might be opened in the morning for breakfast - oh boy! I was wrong. Only Carl's Jnr, Dimsum Delights and OldTown is opened. Nah! It's either not my choice place or her place.

We walked to the beach (erh.......we didn't step on the sand hor?!), she was happy just standing at the pavement and claimed so loudly "I come to East Coast Park." Suaku! Anyway I live in a suaku ulu place ... and I don't even go to Punggol Beach at all. (yes there's a beach here).
Mummy's hungry and told her to have our breakfast first before strolling along the beach. Asked if she wanted to walk to Macs or we'll drive down. "Walk! I want to walk!!" Kept hinting to her that it's quite a distant away. "walk, walk!" - sic (mummy's lazy lah! + it's hot)

We attracted alot of attention, people smiled at us - not because we were super stars or MPs making their walkabout - but mainly because we were obviously not dressed accordingly. Haha! I was in my heels and carrying my handbag. Athena was in a dress and proper shoes. We weren't exercising; we merely got locked out from our house and slept in the beach for the night.
Eventful walk! I hated the dirt getting on my open toes shoes, I kept my cool and then che-che started complaining "sand went in; grass went in; my feet is dirty etc.." We took a longer walk coz' we stopped quite alot of times for che-che to remove her shoes to kick out the sand etc...

The beach is not our kind of place. We're too pampered already, we only want airconditioned place.

End of the day, she felt a sense of achievement. I was exhausted coz' it was so bloody hot.

Wondering if a P2 - 8 year old child is too young to learn how to manage money. What's your take on this?

I'm caught between continuing to give her daily allowance or to give her for the week and let her try to manage. Wah..........I'll faint if she takes the money to buy rubbish from the bookshop.

Appointment of new Principal

I didn't know it was going to be that soon, her current Principal will be posted out.

Perhaps I should do my calculations properly, indeed it was time. Principals in Catholic schools usually spend an average time of 7-8 years in a school before being posted elsewhere.

Mrs Tan, is a very sporting Principal, the kids like her - not like our time where we're so afraid of our Principal as if she was going to eat us up. Heard of the good reputation she holds and it was because of her name and the 'lecture' from hubby's colleague that he agreed to put girl in her current school.

She'll be going to head CHIJ Toa Payoh, while a Mdm Geraldine See from MOE HQ takes the rein.

Can't believe another week is gone just like that, didn't realise that I hadn't been blogging.

It was another boring week that went by and this week onwards (til che-che finishes her exams) it's going to be chiong chiong chiong.

Her school (like most primary schools) will be closed for one week. The many hours of work she has to do this week was sorted out in less than 15 mins by the teacher aka mad mother.

I took yesterday off for myself, baked chocolate pound cupcakes. Using the same recipe as I did for mei-mei's birthday cake cutting down alot of sugar. And since it's cupcakes, the baking time is lesser. While waiting, I made some bread for the kids. I baked almost the whole day! Tired and whoever (idiot me!) said baking is a form of relaxation?? My testers said it's nice (they always do anyway) - very supportive lot of people.

17th - Saturday

Brought the kids to PS in the afternoon and met hubby later for dinner. Went to BABW and finally mei-mei said she wanted a dog. Normally she'll say yes and then scream a loud "Nooooooooooo!" This time round, she agreed and I'm so happy (crazy mother!). She chose a white dog; chose a dress. I didn't ask her to choose shoes coz' I needed to get 2 pairs and I will wait till it's Christmas time.

She's really pleased with her dog. When I asked her for the name, she couldn't think of anything. I suggested Pluto. (but out of the shop much much later I heard her singing B-I-N-G-O. Duh! Could have named it Bingo)

Mei-mei is cautious of her belongings. She was sitting on the computer playing when suddenly she remembered her dog which was out of sight for quite a while. She walked around the shop shouting "Where's my dog? Ah (aunty) Zet where's my dog? I cannot find my dog........" looking quite sad until I pointed out to her Pluto in the box. She hurried to take out her suffocated dog. *mummy very happy coz' she takes care of dog*

Walks out of shop, she hugs it. Barely 5 mins later, she turned the dog upside down holding by the tail and spoke "mummy you see.........I hold dog dog upside down. Dog giggy (giddy)." *mummy gasped at the dog abuser*

Cheapskate me didn't buy shoes, so the children took whatever shoes they have at home to put it on Pluto.

16th - Friday
Picked mei-mei up from school and saw that she (and the rests of the children) had 2 bangles on her right wrist + a sticker on her forehead. Forgot it's Deepavali tomorrow, if not I'll dress her up in a sari.
She looked so cute and had to grab photos of her. Instructed KZ to be careful when washing her face, going to show daddy and che-che when they return home in the evening.


After her lunch + shower, I had less than an hour before I need to leave house. Was too lazy to give her any home session, did some small little work with her coz' she kept bugging me to do "I want to do homework".

Signed che-che up for class in Lorna Whiston. And the classes are on every Fridays 4.30pm. Had to leave house earlier to "chope" a place outside her school so that I can pick her up at the gate; run to the car and drive out asap before the school buses move off and block my way. Shucks! I hate this gan-cheong feeling. Whole life rushing here and there.

Che-che did the same koala-ed thing again. I walked out of the glass door, peeped by the side and saw her standing out there refusing to go into the class. 2 girls stood there accompanying her until the teacher had to push her into the class. Pep talked to her already still like that. I hate it when she does that!

I reccee-ed the place, rather the carpark area near to the lifts. Went to the partyshop to buy 'bribes' for her.

Can't believe my luck! I've been robbed in broad daylight in a crowded place.

My loss? My dinner - chicken!

I bought my food, left it on the table and walked to the drink stall (had my back to my table) wanting to order a drink. Turned around to see an empty table. ?!?!? For that moment I blur out, did I put it on that table? Yes, I was certain I did.

Checked with the cleaners they said no, one said "I saw your food, it was piping hot we wouldn't clear it." Nonetheless he went to ask his colleagues, everyone said they didn't clear the tray. Then one worker told me "I saw one man taking your food away.."

Huh? Wah piang eh.......so cheapskate huh? What was I suppose to do? Walk around the whole foodcourt and tell the person "that's my chicken you took?" Damn stupid right?

Feeling so angry about it. It's only $4 not much but still -. Decided to go to Coffee Bean to have my dinner. I made sure nobody took my food as I was holding my fork and knife in my hand waiting for my food and so ready to throw a knife/fork dart at that person who tries to steal. It was a blessing in disguise lor...I managed to enjoy my dinner in a quieter setting (though I'm not going to do this all Fridays)

Went back to the school and waited for her. She seemed happy with her classmates, so why pretend to cry and do that koala thing?

I need to consider the timing for next year. If I continue every Fridays, then it means I have to bring mei-mei home after I pick her up; can't do much with her at home and then gotta leave the house to camp in car. Che-che and myself will only be home at 7pm. If I bring mei-mei out with me and sit somewhere with her while doing some work with her, I'm fully utilising my time but it means I'll be more exhausted taking care of that hyperactive girl.

I dunno if there'll be any Wednesday class - 2.30pm. I can still drive in a leisurely speed to PP, either have a quick bite or pack lunch from home. And then mei-mei is going to be with me while che-che is in class. Reach home say about 5pm, rush to take a shower and then come out (again) to Tampines for music lesson. (I normally like to leave house at 5.30pm to get a parking lot coz' at certain timing the lots are full) Heng ah... good thing I have a car at my disposal siah!

But still it's a debate of :

1) rush-rush Wed and the usual crazy Thurs

or

2) Going out for classes 3 days consecutively. sians

14th - Wednesday
I haven't been bringing mei-mei to Mcs for our weekly visits for a couple of weeks. And when I announced it to her in the morning, she was so happy. Che-che was jealous, I promised che-che I'd bring her one day (probably during the week break)

10th - Saturday

The kids asked to go gai-gai. The old folks (us) are so lazy... feel like rotting at home. Didn't know where to go coz' it's tiring to go to the malls. And so, hubby decided to bring them to SIL's place to see her new dog.

My otherwise brave girl, chickened out!! Can't believe it! We used to call che-che timid coz' she was afraid of hamster while mei-mei was not. Then the most unbelievable thing happened. Mei-mei panicked and was really scared while che-che asked to carry the puppy.

Che-che asked to keep a puppy and our answer is a definite no. SIL only decided to keep a puppy now after her 2 sons asked for it (again) and they're already in their teens - old enough to take care. Perhaps we should do it when they're in their teens too, at least it'll keep them at home instead of gallavanting the streets with I dunno which friends.


It took her a long time before she dares to stroke its head. And then she keeps asking us to put it back in the enclosed area.

Birthday??

Hmm......... not good! not good!

Hubby's gotta 读书 the week before che-che's birthday and the week before that as well. Make it early November, he'll be out of town. Grrrrr..........

Che-che is disappointed. I am too and next time please chop off my head when I feel like having a birthday party for my girls. I never seem to keep to my words. And I thought I made che-che promise me she'd score well for me in her exams then I'll reward her with a party? It seems like I'm hatching on this plan even before she sits for her exams.

Argh!

Aricia is tooo fast!

In one of those afternoons I had with her, I did stile Maths with her.

My little girl was able to read those number words. I only taught her up to ten and she was able to read up to twenty for me and match the answer. The book covers a spectrum on numbers and she was able to tell me what number comes before/after an example in the book. She goes on to match the answer. Woah! And when it comes to counting the number of items and put the number, she was able to do it in a glance. All thanks to the Dots Program which I must admit she is very strong in that.

The book is recommended for 4+ to 6 and I'm proceeding on with the other books also for the same age group. Ahem........ let's hope my girl don't disappoint me when she's in primary school next time. When I see the results, it makes me want to shop more for her and makes me want to continue with her those tiring home sessions.

Phonics
One day, she was telling me "I want mummy pom pom me in Aunty Zet toilet. I want to sit on the sstone (stool which sounded more like 'stone' with the additional longer ss sound)." I corrected her "it's stool" She repeated, "I sit on the stone." Looked at me and then pondered "S.... *Mummy's eyes open wide* O.........T" Deh! Wrong! And I wasn't expecting her to try to spell out for me but well she had three letters right only the second and third letters are jumbled up.

But that incident made me think if she's ready for the next step in Phonics. Checked with the school to see what stage they're in. "We're still doing the A-Z. Aricia finished it the last time with Teacher M the rests of the class haven't. And she's doing it the second time now." So I asked if I could go ahead and try to introduce her to digraphs. She said I could try, I don't know if she's up to it coz' having to listen to the story of Sammy Snake and Harry Hat Man etc... can be boring for a 3 year-old. But if I don't introduce her, I'm shortchanging her. But if I do, it means this poor mummy has no break at all. I can't seem to catch up with that girl.

During that chat with her teacher, she commented that Aricia is a fast learner. She does well in every aspects the previous teacher told her as she handed the class to her. The previous teacher didn't tell me that during our PTM. In that case, I asked her "then shouldn't you all be putting her in another class? Otherwise she's so bored." She's going to suggest to the supervisor. I mean..not like it makes a great difference since it's almost the end of the year but if she's fast then I do expect her to be put in N2 earlier. Poor girl.... Hubby said "no wonder she didn't want to go to school." I don't think that was the reason, it was the passing phase every child goes through. Okay, will see how.

Hubby is really pleased with this lil' girl. I am too. Infact I'm proud of both my girls who are really good. Che-che only needs to work on her carelessness. We have alot of praises that the younger one is the brighter of the two, we can't deny that. But let's hope she don't slack and continues to excel in her primary school (which KZ said she'll be bored to tears in class. I envisioned her to fall asleep in class. Hahaha! And then get sent to Mrs Tan office.) and so on.

I don't know when mei-mei is older, will she still have her that "perfectionist" traits in her? If she does, it may be good and bad. Imagine her giving herself more pressure if she don't score.

KZ asked if Aricia can do more advance in Singapore. I explained not in the formal school context. No skipping of grades unless the child is homeschooled. "Then home school her!! Aricia very smart, she can do it." Ahh.........I don't think I'm ready, I'll be exhausted having to watch over her grades and it costs more $$$ to hire private tutors than to send to formal school.

Hmm... let's just say it's not in our option unless hubby strike lottery and we can afford that.

Time being, I'm really pleased with her achievements and makes me want to do more for her.

Exhausted - part 2

Day 4 - 12th Oct
Oh boy! I'm so glad it's the last day of this afternoon session arrangement. She sulked again last night wanting to accompany me in the morning. I lied to her this morning that I tried to wake her up but she didn't hear me and I left the house.

When I got home, she was doing her work. She was so co-operative this morning. Didn't have to keep nagging at her to hurry finish her lunch and take her shower etc... She asked me to tie up her hair (which is so short), had so many strands dropping.

We left home much earlier, at 11.43pm I was already in the car. Drove slowly to school and told her that in the evening time when she gets back home, she'll have to hurry up with her dinner, shower and homework before she sleeps. And she has to sleep early for next day's morning session. (Actually she has been sleeping at the usual time.)

Mei-mei's home and she's too sleepy to do anything. Let her sleep while I blog and surf. Woah! This is luxury!! Haha! Hope she sleeps in longer than I'll be lazing the whole day today.

Exhausted!

Wednesday was the first of the 4 days where che-che will be in afternoon session. Must admit I didn't look forward to it but I didn't have a choice - can't possibly let her pontang school right?

Day 1 - 7th Oct
Morning - Brought mei-mei to school. Pumped petrol and headed back home. Che-che did a little work, revised her spelling. I went through papers/those with mistakes with her. Showered and left home at 11.55am. Brought mei-mei home and ...........I thought I just stepped into the lift not too long ago??

The house is quiet and I love it. The kids don't fight coz' they didn't have a chance to be together for long. I managed to do alot of hands-on work with mei-mei. Going through her homework and doing some additional activities before she surrendered to dreamland. Had one hour of free time before I left hopme. Strange? I'm feeling so thirsty.. then I realised that I haven't had the time for any drink apart from my morning breakfast. I was that occupied with my time?!?!? I wouldn't have died from exhaustion by dehydration. (okay...that was pure exaggeration)

Left home at 5pm to prep myself for a CAMPING TRIP. I had to pick che-che up from Gate 3 (main road) and noticed that cars usually line up one hour before pick-up time. In order to get the perfect lot, I had to be early. Typical kiasu mother!
10 mins after I've arrived, cars began to stream in. Woah! At assembly time, principal spoke to the children (and indirectly a chance for her to hint to those parents outside) " Cannot park the cars on the second lane, I know you have told your parents please remind them again. Infact, no parking on the first lane is allowed." Ahem.... we got the hint. Some mummies and me were looking around and sniggering (yup! they were talking about us. And me for the first time coz' I usually pick her up from the main gate). We were joking about taking down car numbers and hand it up to the principal etc.. getting into her good books.
Dismissed and soon my girl came out. I was surprised that she was early coz' her assembly place is rather far from the gate.

She changed in the car and it's Q&A time.
Me : "How? Do you like being in the afternoon session?"
Ath : "No. I like the usual time."
Me : "Were you sleepy in the afternoon?"
Ath : "Yes"
Me : "Did you fall asleep in class?"
Ath : "No"
Ath : "I don't like this."

I have to agree with her that I don't like this either. When we had to rotate sessions in Primary school (in my time) I hated the afternoon sessions coz' I didn't have much time to do work (ahem... I didn't dare say 'play' so changed it to 'to do work') But on the other hand, I didn't mind the fact that I could really spend time with each child.

Though Day 1, I'm exhausted. What an eventful birthday!!

Day 2 - 8th Oct
Grumbled that I've never taken our lifts so often in a day before. Really! 6 times to be exact and today's the start of another cycle.

The usual thing, girl did work at home while I send mei-mei to school. She told me the night before she wanted to follow me, I told her that I'd prefer that she sleeps in a little longer coz' she'll have a long day ahead of her. But she can't, the latest she could get up is 7+, about an hour + later than usual.

Was thinking to myself, supposedly if she is really in the afternoon session.. how can I find the time for enrichment class? You know the timing is neither here nor there. By 11am, she has to eat and shower. By 11.45am we leave the house in a leisurely manner.

Yesterday we arrived school at 12.17pm and there were so many cars (be in school at 12.35pm, class starts at 12.50pm) so today I'm not going to get stuck in that situation again. Not too bad, we reached school at 12.09pm and it's a breeze.
Fed mei-mei her lunch in the car and then brought her for a short walk around Toa Payoh area before going for her class. Chatted with J after class is over, pop by Mcs and then we went to pick che-che.
W offered to pick che-che up from me at the gate, I declined but then decided to go to the gate to meet her. Traffic is really horrible.

Day 3 - 9th Oct
Cycle continues with me spending more time with mei-mei in the afternoon. Actually I kindda like this arrangement where it gives me a chance to spend time with each child. How I eventually settled for 2 kids going in the same session earlier in the year did save me time alot of time and hassles. But supposedly if we live close to the school and if mei-mei's school do have formal classes in the afternoons it can be an option. Of course it leaves insufficient time for their enrichment classes which will be pushed to the weekends. It also leaves this poor mummy with no time for herself. At least now I can sneak a short 1-2 hour of window shopping, reading in the library or going back home to prepare materials.

So am I glad that they're both in the morning session? Sort of. Hmm...........the noise; the fights; the screams I don't like that. That's the only thing I've gotta tolerate.

Evening time, I checked. Tank is already past 3/4. Woah! Imagine it's approximately 25km per trip. I've made 150km in a day. Multiply this by 4 days, I'll use up 600km!! And usually I only need to pump petrol every 8-9 days.

Back home I'm really exhausted! Ehh...........one more day to go. My neighbour's son didn't have to go school, probably had some excursion or something this morning when I bump into him. Wah, and che-che's school is so super on!!

Innocent comments

I wonder if my girl is really smart....this is shown by her recent comments which got me laughing.

(1) Watching the History Channel. It was about war. She started talking about Japanese starting war in Singapore and that they were very bad.
But the document was on US bombing Hiroshima.........and then she said "Japan have war, very bad country. USA have war in Japan, also very bad country.

(2) Tsunami : We passed by Sengkang Swimming Complex and she commented she wanted to learn swimming. (I was so happy when I heard that) "I learn swimming so when there's tsunami I can swim."
LOL!
I explained that even the best swimmer will not survive in a tsunami. And for that, she has to learn how to hold her breath for a long time.

Mooncake Jelly

Was suppose to do my snowskin mooncake, highly ambitious this year by trying to attempt on the baked mooncake; piglet biscuits;ice-cream mooncake; jelly mooncake etc...

I tried Jelly thinking that it'll take the shortest time and then I can do the snowskin. Wrong! Looks like I won't be able to make it in time for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Will do it at a much later date.. haha! Very jialat! Wish I can really take time and ignore the kids but I can't... my heart can't seem to let go.

Dragonfruit with mango filling. Why purple colour? I dare not buy the red-coloured Dragonfruits coz' the colour look so fake. The white ones looked so ... inauspicious for this nice event. So coloured a little purple. Hmm.....looks like yam huh? Next time shall try that.
I don't eat dragonfruit so asked my tester, KZ to see if she can get the dragonfruit taste. She said yes so I quickly packed that in the afternoon in time to pass it to P when I saw her later at Berries
Managed 5 this time round. I'm tired. I know I know suppose to be even numbered. I or-tang... another 3 more next time to make it 8 - fatt!
I was working on it in a few days (explained in the later part of this post) and the last batch, I did the 3 flavoured (coffee, chendol and dragonfruit) until 1+am. Backache! Weary!

The small ones for P

Packed and ready to go. I managed to find these boxes in PH. But can't seem to find the box for the bigger mooncake, so used those tardy-looking transparent kind.

Using the extra chendols, I added in some adzuki beans to make it more appetizing. Oohs.... fattening!
Since I opened the whole can of adzuki, I did some red bean jelly

Kindda enjoy doing this, and it's the first time I used up alot of the pandan leaves. (usually I have alot of leftovers and they rot and then I gotta junk away)

Preparation

The egg yolks and some plain yellow ones (lotus) were done in a day (when che-che is doing her work, mei-mei napping and KZ and me fighting for space in the kitchen)

Had to do 2 times of 1 litre each on 2 separate days coz' I didn't have enough those flat surface containers and not much space in fridge
Alot of scraps left after cutting out these shapes
Mango flavoured egg yolks
So called lotus paste with egg yolks. While I did this, I used the remaining to make the pink and green ones. In total I made more than 6 litres

Gula melaka filling. I cut down on sugars for most mooncakes so don't know if it's still too sweet for some
I love these chendols. But I could have been more generous with the chendols.
Hmm..... don't know when I'll be able to make the snowskin and the rests. Ai yah! want to shang-yue can shang-yue anytime lah! - just trying to console myself
