What does being 51 means? It means I’m officially classified as a quinquagenarian (mouthful to pronounce), joining my brother and sister falling under the same age group. What the #%^*! I’m so bloody old! Somehow in my mind I still think I’m in my late 30s. Denial to the max, I’m not embracing old age at all.
Biological and Health Milestones
Being 51 means I’m also few years closer to hitting menopause. By then everything will wrinkle up and age, and droop. Coz I’m not willing to spend money and I don’t have the money on asthetics injections, I shall be extra hardworking with my guasha. Guasha my face. As for grumpiness and losing temper - I’m not sure if I can read my signs coz I’ve been quite impatient since I became a mother, I lost count the number of tempers I had since I became the Minister of Education at home.
Health wise - bones and muscles changing so I think I need to do some weight training but … I’m quite hesitant to go under the torture from a PT. And they cost $$. And I need to make my way out to a gym when I already have a gym in the condo.
Vision - so I’m blessed that I’m still myopic. No signs of hyperopia
Hair - the whites have been growing out so fast. Wah..I can’t seem to catch up colouring my hair. Thankfully I’ve been a cheapskate since SQ days where I tend to colour my own hair dark brown/black so I shall just continue doing this until I can’t stretch my hands to reach my head.
4th Oct (Sun)
In my family, we don’t go for fanciful meals to celebrate birthday. We just let the birthday boy/girl choose what they want to eat. Most times it will be just our normal weekend family meals. When the girls choose their choice of meal, it’s HDL most times. For us, the parents, we’re simple.
Imagine the man’s shock when I said I wanted to eat mookata. Haha! He’s lucky his wife got cheap taste.
7th Oct (Wed)
I had to leave the house after lunch to help bro’s helper buy something. If not I would have wanted to stay and nuah at home. I kindda gave myself a break from housework today.
Took a quick break. Despite having a runny nose and splitting headache, I decided to indulge in ice-cream from MacD. Heehee!
Flower delivery arrived after I got home. So pretty! Gift from W. So sweet of her. She knows I love tulips
My birthday cake from hubby. Heehee! Our birthday cake is always so small coz nobody eats.
