Impromptu trip to JB

Woke up early at 5.30am to get ready to head across the causeway. Left home at 6.47am and took a bus to AMK MRT station. So I had a blur moment when I saw the bus board indicated “Opp AMK Station” and asked why aren’t we alighting. Only for them to point out to me a police station outside. Haha! Write properly lah! Why can’t you write AMK Police Station? But I had to be the only dumb one to ask the question.

After alighting from the bus into the train, I don’t understand why everyone is rushing? Even the long leg hubby is walking fast so I had to walk fast holding on to lil’ one. Trained to Kranji MRT and everyone rushed to take a bus. Then jump down from the bus joining the crowds of people walking so damn fast into the checkpoints. Wah …… I don’t usually walk that fast fast k? Then walking fast into the bus and walk fast again into next checkpoint. The only time we could walk a little slower is once we walked out of JB checkpoint and into the nearby mall. When we took the KKKL bus into KL, we did rush in but it isn’t as mad as this less than $2 ride in. Taking public bus in is not for the faint-hearted-pretend-to-be-tai-tai-pampered-🚗-drive-everywhere me. Too many dashes already 🤣.

Walking to bus stop after alighting from Kranji MRT Station. Hmm…don’t know why but a lot of people queued for the buses on the same side as the MRT station.

@ 9.03am Finally! After clearing JB checkpoint. Some people still walking fast, we just did it slow. Ah-nia needs to catch my breath.
Wait! I’ve been awake for 3.5hrs + and I just made into JB only?!

@ OldTown White Coffee City Square
Normally don’t eat breakfast but after all the rush here rush there, I was hungry. Ordered a chicken charsiew wanton noodles (RM16.90). Surely I gobbled down my food quickly.

We barely walk much before deciding to go where che-che wants to go. @ 10.26am I called for Grab.

Arrived at KIPMall at 10.43am. She wanted to drop by this place. They have 2 outlets in JB, this is not the one she showed me yesterday. Not knowing what to expect here but I was wondering why she came here when we’ll be going next month

Didn’t take me long to know that she came here looking for these. There were quite a lot on display. She found her Kento. Whoever sold it to this secondhand shop must have made a huge huge lost. Jalan Jalan Japan is selling them for RM6 (S$1.80) each. They’re mainly the old fans going back to their debut days and some other cutesy boy band in 2013. I think I saw something that goes back in history to 2009. My goodness! In 2009 this 冬菇头 che-che was only 7yrs-old jumping to Dora songs and the kiddish songs.

I love these! But really no point getting them unless I’m doing a massive overhaul in my kitchen which is unlikely coz my Italian obiang design plates are so so lasting - for 23-24 years!

Then I spotted this. So this is the slide to heaven as what some netizens call it 😂

Girls sang from 2.15 to 4.15pm. The old folks practically orh orh inside, waking up occasionally when it was lil’ one’s turn to sing or talk loudly 😂

Buying the bandung cookies from Famous Amos

Che-che had ice-cream at Cold Stone

So cute. Christmas cookies from Lavender

@ 5.13pm from Paradigm Mall to Rumah Lok Lok

Arrived at 5.45pm

Lil’ one doesn’t really like fried food, preferred soupy and they have this shin ramyeon so had her ingredients cooked inside. But it was too spicy, they threw the whole pack of seasoning inside

The ones that che-che and I bought are sprinkled with a little chilli powder

Hubby’s without chilli powder. “Meant to share” but it wasn’t communicated to us so ended up he took a lot. We had to pack some home after that

Made our way back home at 6.37pm. Took a cab home from Kranji as lil’ one is so tired. She’s another person with a pampered life 🤣. Reached home at close to 9pm or was it 9+pm ?

She didn’t buy her TamTam coz at the end of the trip, we didn’t get a chance to go to the supermarket again. Bought these cute pasta from the first supermarket

Bought 400g of bandung cookies and 200g of mocha nuts madness

After carrying all the fans for her, she took out some and only bought these. RM60 (S$18). So cheap!

That’s how we spent our weekend. Couldn’t stay overnight as lil’ one has tuition the next day.
