When CB kicked in in 2020, the “must organize” person me plonked down into action into planning menu so that :
1) go supermarket, I can quick quick grab what is needed and leave. It was grocery shopping every fortnight.
2) make sure ingredients are not wasted
3) makes life easier for me. The tough part is the planning (Yah now with Thermomix it’s even much easier, we can key in ingredient and they can come out with other recipes requiring that ingredient.) but once the menu is up, I know what I’m cooking and set my mind to mentally prepare how much time I need the next day for cooking.
Then I haven’t got into menu planning for many months or perhaps 2 years. I wanted to cook less and tapao food home. It’s always so tiring to cook. Need to prep food, cook, clean and clean. Everyone else just dumps their bowl and cutleries in the sink and walk away.
I need to get back to it soon, next year maybe.
