It’s spring time ….

yah…not like there’s spring here. The whole load of quotes about spring sparking a rebirth/renewal is bullshit in Singapore. We’re all getting renewed to be more chao-tar! 

March April is about the time sakura 🌸 and tulips 🌷starts blooming. If only we have cherry blossoms trees here. But ever wondered? If there’s cherry blossoms trees here, would I be so excited over it? If there’s tulips here, would I always harp over how much I love tulips? Anyway….. point is .. wait! what was I suppose to type? Aunty talk too much rubbish until I forgot.

While I’m always so excited about the sakura display in Flower Dome around this time, this year I have something else to be excited about- the Sakura range of laundry stuffs from Laundrin from Donki. In early March, I went around a few Donkis in Singapore looking for it not knowing when it will or IF IT WILL be brought in this year. I came across this range last year and lil' one (the other aunty in the family) likes the fragrance, I guess it only comes in around this time as I don't see it on the shelves other times of the year. I even went to such extent of messaging Donki in their FB page and they only told me to ask the staffs as they "have no information on product related matters here." What?! Then where do the outlets get their products from? Outer space? I don't understand why are they so unhelpful!  All I wanted to know was if they would be bringing it in and approximately when. Also asked staffs in 3 different outlets and nobody knew what I was talking about. Part-timers I guess, although one guy did walk into the office and asked the old timers about it and as you guessed it what old timers would do?? Toss me around to the HQ and asked me to ask them???? Sigh.....this is what you call customer service!  

Today, a trip to Jewel coz I was craving for chilli crab pasta from O Coffee Club. Our first stop was Donki as I parked near the escalator. I saw a display of pink items from afar at the main entrance and squinted my eyes but still couldn't see properly and walked towards it. I had too many disappointments when I mistook a few pink items in Donki to be the range I was looking for weeks before, so was mentally prepared that I was looking at the wrong things again. 

As I walked closer, the sakura picture on the labels became so much clearer to me. Tasked lil' one to get a basket and a trolley (obviously I can't carry the heavy load into the car) for me and I started putting whatever we needed into the basket. Cleared all the 13 packets of softener refills there, I think I'll get more tomorrow at PLQ. Took a few air fresheners as well for the laundry room and perhaps the toilets too (I'm getting so frustrated with the getting more useless Airwick automatic dispenser). I'll definitely need to get more refills to last me for the year until the range is out again in 2025 spring. 

    

These made me $237.70 poorer.  

Oh! I just had to pick this up as well just coz it's sakura. I used the lavender's and kindds liked it.  Cost $7 but I have discount for the coupon that expires in end of March, so I get a 20cents discount on this. 

Total damage in Donki = $244.50. Should I buy more tomorrow?
