Red packets, very often and unanimously used for anything and everything, are given as tokens of good wishes. Needless to say, I felt it was right to give Che-che one (tho she’s richer than me 🤣) to wish her the best in her job. I think only this time right? It’s her first job, I definitely won’t be giving every time she change her job. 

I prepared the money, wrote my grandmother story and then told hubby about it. And he merely just wrote his simple words - yah! he’s a man of few words 😂. Asked him to give it to her before she starts work but task was taichi-ed back to me.

I didn’t see this scene for a very very long time. I think the last time it happened, the girls were in primary and secondary level?

Therefore I found it more amusing than anything else when the girls fought so hard for the jasmine green tea. Brought out 2 cups and they started pouring. 

Duh! So little drink left. Their fight is much longer than this one gulp of drink. 😂

NTUC anymore? Not even in the only CS I go to in Parkway. NTUC only sells the canned ones.

Privacy screen protector

Spent $$ just for this privacy anti-glare screen protector some time in Apr (prior to meeting W). 

I was getting frustrated with the non-sticky part that kindda pops on the side so ripped it out from my phone. The screen protector is ugly looking as I crumpled it, then thought of taking pic after some time. For what sake? To remind how dumb I was to spend so much for this? The protector is thick, feels like pvc bee-leh-tik texture 😂, maybe that’s why it’s that expensive. 

Took the protectors I bought quite some time ago. This total sum is 1/3 of the price I paid for the pvc-like protector. 

Done! I did for lil’ one too!

Actual photo taken on 21st May - 554

After deleting the related 21st May photos - 27929. After minus-ing the actual 554 photos, I had 175 of 'extras for imovies', proper photos and 'rubbish photos that require me to delete from camera roll. Sometimes I have screenshots of recipes, or study tips or whatever I'm interested in which explains how the rubbish photos in the roll.  

Anyway, I have 22nd May in the app ready for editing but I'm not going to do anything for now. Maybe I should take the time in Korea to do the imovies immediately, so I just bring home and transfer all pics out. Currently I have 33.39 GB to use, I hope I don't overcrowd my camera roll again. Otherwise I might end up trying to delete apps just to get some space, which I've already did.    Bringing the sandisk with me incase I need it.

Not 18 yet !

Reminded girl to do her check-in. I booked my tickets via my app and hers via her app. Actually can link booking but I didn't know how and didn't want to wreck my depleting brain cells figuring it out.

In a way I love having things on my phone to having slips of papers here and there BUT it would mean that I would jam up my phone's already swarming camera roll with my screenshots. And there's another worry of - if I lose my phone due to carelessness or theft I have no proof (I'm just paranoid). So I end up printing all my hotel bookings, train tickets even though everything is on the phone. 

I've checked in ! I've never tried generating luggage tags before, does it mean I get it printed at home and stick it myself?? 

Suddenly the girl exclaimed she can't do it as she's not 18. Oh yah hor ! Coz I've been so used to telling che-che all the time "you can check-in now" since our 2023 travels.

Never mind, small matter, just check in the airport.

Che-che asked to check out this mala place since last week. We only made it the end of this week 😉. Guess this is the only chance for me to bring my big greedy girl out to eat this year(?).

Lil one food weighs 110g - $4.67, Che-che’s 小辣 mala collagen soup 279g - $11.54, my oriental stir fry 227g - $8.04. Less than $30 for our lunch, not too bad. The spicy level is also a little too much for me. At first I thought my oriental stir fry will be with chicken stock but it turns out to be with oyster sauce. I'm not that fussy over food so it was alright for me. 

After the meal, she wanted to drop by Kim Choo. The route from Kinex Mall to i12 took me to this coffee shop where lil’ one remembered daddy bringing her there to eat in the mornings after dropping Che-che in school. 

And who can forget the uncle’s prawn noodle in Alibaba?

The familiar place. Katong area brings back a sense of belonging for me.

"MRT... (then made the train running sound)" So funny. Then a guy stood up and strutted down the modelling runway. 🤣

Earlier on in PP, I came out of the toilet cubicle to see a lady knocking on the door of another cubicle. She knocked the door again n asked the lady inside if she found a phone inside. Well, according to the victim she just left and now she quickly turned back to the toilet and "so fast lost!" The lady in the cubicle came out said there was nothing inside when she went in but .....

I was washing my hands at that time and offered my phone to call herself, hands still with soap suds but I think every seconds count. So while she called I washed off the soap suds. Phone was switched off.🥲 she kept saying "so fast". She was really kancheong. If it's my phone, my brain is IN THERE!

She'll make a police report for sure and do a search for the whereabouts. May the dishonest person be punished. May the dishonest person lose her own phone forever too to understand the anxiety one feels.

Reminded lil' one on 2 important lessons after that.

Integrity - return whatever things you find no matter how big or small the monetary value is.

Responsible - make sure you turn back everytime to check that you leave nothing behind anywhere everywhere you go. When pol want to steal, it can happen very fast.

I came across misplaced phones twice in a span of 3 weeks. Always in that same cubicle in OTH 😄. First incident, a lady came out of the toilet as I was going in. We almost bump into each other n that's when I notice her work uniform. I went into the cubicle and saw a phone. Noticed some words in Vietnamese in wallpaper so l assumed it must have belonged to her coz she don't look local to me. I was so urgent and initially wanted to return it later since I saw the uniform but thought she might panicked and decided to pass it back to her first. "Excuse me, did you lose something?" Then she exclaimed "my phone!" Second incident, the lady came out of the cubicle and I went in. And first thing I noticed was the phone.

So why ppl still can lose it when it's in a prominent spot? I asked her if anything is missing on her and then I passed it back to her. Sigh.....why ppl so careless?

But why ppl also so dishonest?

Last night brought Che-Che downstairs to join my friend. We went down without lantern coz dunno when n where KZ put all the lanterns.(When did she change spot for me? N she can't rmbr where..). A neighbour was so kind, bumped into him on way n he asked where we were going n I laughed at ourselves for going down without a lantern. Guess what? He came down n personally delivered to us a lantern.

Meimei (I heard) cried for not being able to go downstairs with us.

Birthday girl room

No way am I going to stick anything on her room walls now. Except for the height chart, I still want to put that back, or maybe just leave it behind the wardrobe door ? 

Took them down and pasted on her doorframe instead now

This year I didn’t prepare the card thingy I always do coz I’m so lazy to design and print and laminate. The laminator machine is at the top cabinet; I need to untie all the rubber bands to setup my printer. Maybe I just do a digital copy post her birthday and then give it to her 😂. 

Ps : the peel off paint 😭. Need to get the paint, min is 1litre. Argh! Why did I throw those paint away? Shouldn’t listen to the man.

I just changed S$1000 to get exactly KW1,000,000

I was surprised that it’s already on par, as in KW1000 = S$1. But coz I haven’t checked the exchange rate recently just knew that SGD is weakening, so assumed that’s the reason why. But today I realised it wasn’t the best rate. In the first place I didn’t know there were 2 more other money changers in Parkway as stated in the article (?). I often change with them. Now that I know I can check in this website : cashchanger to compare the rates and find out where to go. However I’m lazy and wont 🚗 deliberately drive to somewhere just to get the best rate. I add the petrol and parking fees may not be worth it. I changed in Parkway today as I was there for my lash appointment.

If I had KW19,000 extras, might be able to buy 5-6 떡볶이 tteokbokki 😂. 

But oh well, I guess I win some and lose some. This is what I have in my millionaire Revolut account 🤪 - S$1961.78

Youtrip do not have KW in its wallet currency. But coz I’m using Revolut that supports 33 (32) stored wallet, KW is in the list. 

With about S$2500 I think should be enough, or maybe more than enough. I will keep the extras for sure, coz during the research while planning itinerary I realised Seoul is actually not bad a place to go, has the interesting historical buildings and wall.

Additional post about multi-currency card. Revolut exchange rate is not as good as Youtrip, but coz I chose to stand out from the 3 of them, I went for Revolut instead 😆.
